Have you thought about having the micro perform the tuning? A tiny reversible DC motor, all thread, and a nut on the tuning block. Have a microphone and an audio board and have the micro measure the frequency.
That would be a very elegant solution. Most of the pipes have tuning shutters but they would have to be reworked so they moved smoothly and consistently enough to be controlled by a dc motor. And of course anything I did I would have to do 42 times over, once for each pipe. But, I'm going to noodle about that and maybe build a test rig and see how it works. Thanks for the idea.
